eternal cloud: behind the scenes

Eternal Cloud is a sci-fi story disguised as a start-up. It questions the humanity of our social networks' algorithms. Instead of placing emphasis on your demographic and social klout it asks, 'Are you good enough to enter?'

About

Eternal Cloud takes place in the year 2045. The Earth is no longer habitable due to the extreme effects of global warming. Your options are to join a digital community or perish on Earth. To join Eternal Cloud, all we ask is ‘Have your actions on Earth made you a desirable candidate for our society?’ Why don't you login and see for yourself.

The impetus for the project stemmed from reading of Jaron Lanier, Elon Musk, Ray Kurzweil, and Neal Stephenson. Eve Weinberg focuses on storytelling on interactive platforms. Her work questions societal norms in the digital era - present and future.

PROCESS
